Filmed in Ile-Ife, Nigeria in 2003, this 40 minute documentary by Omonike Akinyemi captures pivotal moments in the celebration of Obatala, the orisha of Yoruba religion who represents balance. The 17 Day Odun, Festival, takes place once a year in Ile-Ife. Worship at Igbo Itapa Temple and celebration inside the streets and markets helps us see what Obatala represents to the people. Key, in the ceremony, is the late Yeye L'Orisha, an Oshun priestess who also represents Yemoo in the sacred walk through town.
